BC Safety Authority Warns Against Unpermitted and Potentially Unsafe Gas Work
On March 6, 2017, the BC Safety Authority sent out a press release warning homeowners, businesses, building and strata managers in Smithers, Kitimat, Terrace and Prince Rupert who may have had gas work performed by Best Heating, Mercury Mechanical or Masoud Bahrami to contact BCSA.
At 101 Industries we were very troubled upon hearing this news. If you know, or suspect, that you have had work done by Mr. Bahrami or any of the listed companies above, please contact us right away. We will review the work to ensure that it meets minimum safety standards.
The Contractor Management Program team is happy to announce the winner of the Contractor Recognition Program for the draw period of April 29–May 10.
Congratulations Carlos and Mark Furtado (brothers) from 101 Industries! They have won a $100.00 Visa gift card. They were nominated by Nick Markowsky (101 Industries - Project Manager) for impactful safety improvement implemented. They questioned why the busbars were not locked out when they were about to perform work. The Rio Tinto maintenance team then locked out the busbars, mitigating the contact with electricity risk through the telehandler.
Thank you Carlos and Mark for your continued efforts to keep everyone safe here at BC Works.
